Account Information: If you sign in via Google or email, we store your display name, email address, and profile photo URL as provided by the authentication provider.
Favorites: When signed in, your saved favorite radio stations are stored in our database to sync across your devices.
Local Storage: We use browser local storage to persist your favorites, volume setting, and theme preference locally on your device.
Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand usage patterns (pages visited, session duration). This data is anonymous and aggregated.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) with security rules that ensure only you can access your own data. We use Firebase App Check to protect our backend from abuse.

Cloud Firestore — for storing user favorites
Google Analytics — for anonymous usage analytics
reCAPTCHA — for bot protection (App Check)
MapTiler / MapLibre — for globe map rendering

5. Radio Streams

When you listen to a radio station, your browser connects directly to the station's stream URL. TuneJourney does not proxy or record audio streams. The radio station may collect its own analytics about listeners.

TuneJourney itself does not set cookies. However, third-party services such as Google Analytics and Firebase may set cookies as part of their operation.

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
